The PLA SAND Barrier project aims to use renewable resource materials to address wind erosion and sand barrier issues in agriculture, photovoltaic power stations, oil pipelines, highways, and rail transportation etc.
Sand barriers are a crucial engineering technique for combating desertification. They effectively control the movement of sand on mobile dunes, stabilize wind-eroded surfaces, and significantly enhance wind and sand fixation. Additionally, sand barriers improve the growth conditions for artificial vegetation and promote the recovery of natural vegetation.
Advantages of Project
Strong UV resistance: Strong resistance to UV radiation, ensuring long-term durability.
Process innovation: high elasticity and strength of barrier weaving; Strong ground adhesion provides good erosion resistance; continuous paving technology achieves sand control; standardized products with stable concave surface structure.
Fully Biodegradable: Polylactic acid (PLA) and plant-derived materials which are fully biodegradable.
Technical advantages: Reduces reliance on road transport, increases laying efficiency and service life by 3-5 times, cuts costs by half, and reduces handling requirements by 20-60 times
